1990s Dominance

In the 1990s the Cowboys were one of the best teams at the time. The 49ers were the only team that was in the way for the Cowboys. In 1993 and 1994 the Dallas Cowboys were at the top winning back-to-back championships. But in 1995 that changed. The 49ers and Cowboys both got a bye in the playoffs. They both won their divisional playoff game. They met in the Confrence finals. The game was really close between both teams but the Cowboys were ahead leading with about 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The 49ers had possession of the ball. They went down the field, 3 ards. At the 9 yard line, 4th and 3rd, Joe Montana rolls out to the right side pump faking 3 Cowboys defenders, and throws the ball to Dwight Clark at the back of the endzone catching the ball to give the 49ers the lead. The final Cowboys possession they brought the ball to mid field before being sacked and fumbling the ball giving the 49ers the win. That game ended the Cowboys Super Bowl winning streak. But the next year the Cowboys won there 5th superbowl.a
